Defense Department Expedites Munitions to Israel Over the Weekend

The Pentagon remains “in constant, ongoing contact“ with counterparts in Israel.

The United States spent the weekend sending shipments of weapons and munitions to Israel as it experienced violent terrorist attacks by the Islamic group Hamas. The Department of Defense did not specify what exact weapons were sent for Israeli defense, only that they were in constant conversation with Israel’s Ministry of Defense to assess which weapons were needed at each location.

“We remain in constant, ongoing contact with our counterparts in Israel to determine and then support their most urgent requirements,” a senior defense official stated Monday. Defense officials have also been in touch with “U.S. industry to gain expedited shipment of pending Israeli orders for military equipment that otherwise may have been considered routine for movement,” they said.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Pentagon officials as they determine how much military aid to offer Israel.
  • For discernment Secretary Austin as he discusses support options with the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
  • For the leaders and people of Israel as they respond to the terrorist attacks.
